The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has formally opened the 2025 application system.

Applications at the moment are open and can shut on 15 December 2024.

To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant should meet the following requirements:

• Be a South African citizen or copyright who emanates from a home by using a combined gross family earnings that does not exceed R350 000 for each annum.

• People with disabilities qualify if their combined family money won't exceed R600 000 per annum.

• SASSA recipients automatically qualify for funding and need not submit any evidence of earnings.
